02.2015 - UNIQUE CAM - Perfect esthetics with multilayer-nesting
With UNIQUE CAM from UNIQUE cadcam, Meerbusch (Germany), and its integrated multilayer-nesting it's possible for the first time to perfectly align a restoration onto the different color-layers of a multilayer-stock.
During nesting the different layers are rendered onto the crown or bridge, allowing the user to reach the maximum control over the placement and to achieve the best quality of the final result.
Also the new function to anatomically trim the connectors eases the daily work and increases the efficiency. Connectors can be trimmed along the anatomic surface, thus reworking-time is reduced extremely.
In addition the user-interface of UNIQUE CAM has been simplified further, only a few clicks are necessary from importing the restoration to calculating the milling-paths. Depending on the CAD, material and indication the stock-selection, placement and connector-settings are done automatically by the software.
At the same time several assistant functions make the usage of UNIQUE CAM as safe as never before.
With these innovative and practice-focused solutions UNIQUE cadcam sets new standards in Dental-CAM and approves its own motto: "Made from dental technicians for dental technicians".

09.2014 - Shorter grinding times for ceramic-blocks
Through new optimized strategies and especially developed grinding-tools, UNIQUE CAM reduces milling-time of ceramic-blocks with even better surface-quality. For the first time, full ceramic-crowns can be grinded within 12 minutes. This applies to IPS e.max CAD (Ivoclar Vivadent, FL-Schaan), VITABLOCS / VITA SUPRINITY (VITA Zahnfabrik, D-Bad Säckingen) and the priticrown (pritidenta, D-Leinfelden) as well as for hybrid-materials like Lava Ultimate (3M ESPE, D-Seefeld) and VITA ENAMIC.
Another world premiere for open CAM-software-solutions is the visualization of modern multilayer-materials to achieve an esthetically optimal result after milling.
UNIQUE CAM can be used with 4- and 5-axes CNC-milling-machines from different manufacturers and is compatible to known CAD-solutions like DentalDesigner (3Shape, DK-Kopenhagen), DWOS (Dental Wings, CA-Montreal) and exocad DentalCAD (exocad, D-Darmstadt).
